Danny Rose Fined For Explosive Interview

Following his explosive interview in The Sun on Thursday, Danny Rose remains a hot topic on the back of English papers.
Danny Rose continues to trend on social media and there now seems little doubt that everyone knows about the wage issues at Tottenham now.
The English press is in agreement: Danny Rose’s interview has been backed by his Tottenham team mates and The Sun claim the left back was “applauded” into the dressing room.
“A hero’s welcome”
Dave Kidd, who interviewed Rose for The Sun, and has a long term relationship with the Spurs left back writes that “got a hero’s welcome from a mutinous Tottenham dressing room.”
Spurs director of football operations Rebecca Caplehorn fined Danny Rose two weeks wages and the player was forced to apologise for his comments.
Tottenham fans meanwhile are bracing themselves for what now seem like inevitable bids from Chelsea and Manchester United to test the waters.
Will Danny Rose join Chelsea?
Immediately after the Danny Rose interview, both Manchester United and Chelsea were linked with the left wing back.
Whilst it was thought Rose was keen to move back up north, Chelsea are being pushed hard by the English press on Friday.
Matt Hughes and Gary Jacob report in
The Times: “The England left back is prepared to push for a move to Chelsea this month if the Premier League champions follow up on their initial interest with a firm bid.”
Manchester United won’t move for Rose this month
Considering Chelsea and Spurs basically don’t do transfer business with each other and Rose has a long contract, it is virtually impossible to see Rose depart for West London.
Especially as Rose would cost over 50 million pounds and the Blues already have Marcos Alonso.
Manchester United look much more likely. Rose can play up north. And, the Red Devils have a player in Luke Shaw, that Mauricio Pochettino knows well and is a direct replacement.
So, in some good news for Spurs, The Times report that “they are not expected to make an offer this month.”
The smart money remains on Rose staying for one more season at Spurs before moving to Manchester United after 2017/2018.
